Hi,
i never hear bevore thats they original Country give with the engine G60.
I think heared the original Country have a engine with 1.8 98 PS and GTI-Country with 107 PS.
When your car original from VW come with this engine, you have a unicate!
Thats where good and you become lot of money for this car when you find a sampler....

hi, the chrome country should have a gti engine, i have been told that a number of the late ones had 1.8 16v engines fitted.
  as far as i know they never came fitted with g60 engine but as this is a very late car, registered in 1993, hoping that this one may be origonal?

As I said, may you have a special model what individual was manufactured for anyone of Volkswagen. So it should be, then congratulations.
Look what was original fitted to an engine simply in the Fahrzeugbrief.
Otherwise me the chassis number to the Volkswagen dealer go he can look with the Fahrgestellnumer in the computer and information.
